The Lesson in Waiting

Patiently waiting...

To wait is one of the most difficult lessons I had encountered in love, and in life. For stubborn and impatient like me, waiting is never easy. When the time when the thing you had always wanted seems silent and distant; what I had learned is to put out hope and trust in God and on what He has promised to do.
We always wait for something to happen, or a thing to end or one thing to begin. Waiting for more time, waiting for time to come, for our difficulties to end, for bad feelings to end, or waiting for our prayers to be answered are just some of the things we would want to end.
Then there’s patience. Waiting and patience are in conflict, sometimes. All I do is to wait. But the important is the attitude that comes with it. Just because we’re waiting does not mean we have patience. I would always ask myself? Do I wait with good attitude?

Waiting makes me more humble, gentle and understanding. Waiting makes me realize there are things that is never to change, or things that are change in an instant. Patience means growing deeper in my relationship with my family, with other people and of course, God. Patience also means expressing the positive in pointing out the negative. Sometimes, it is a decision to look beyond the irritating things and look more into a positive outlook. J
